Add: Once a camp is completed have a link beneath it that will take you directly to the list of scouted recruits.

Perhaps this has been said before, but I'll throw it out there.

I really don't like the first level of information with the broad categories of skill levels. I can probably live with the letter grades, but I'd much prefer starting at level 2 so I know grades for each skill.

I feel like there is some "click" fatigue. I sit there an look at a couple hundred recruits that I can see - and don't even know where to start. Unless I am missing something, I have to open each person individually to scout further. I realize some will give more info with camps and state scouting in a group fashion (I think so anyways), but I still have tons of guys that I'm at the first level info. I have focused on the higher overall grades and the nearby guys but there are tons more. Correct me if I'm wrong fellas, but I don't think scouting is that fun for anyone - even in the old system where is was much easier. Basically, it's very tedious.

Suggestions:

- allow the assistant coach to scout massively in a targeted fashion? I.e. - have him pick 20 guys to go up a level so I can do it all at once (the price could be adjusted accordingly).

- please eliminate level 1. it feels like a nuisance to me at this point.

Selbe, may not be the forum for this, but hey I am okay with the abuse my peers will lay on you. But several times in my work career, I have been part of the process of going from paper to computer....and yes that means I am as old as dirt (started post college work in 1980). I also have had the good fortune to have been of "Computer Tests" for various industrial MRP and Sales Computer Programs. The most important part of ALL of those Computer Tests is staying with the project until the job is done.

Now putting most younger guys to sleep, I will get to the point. The best way we can help test recruitment is to stay with our teams more then one recruiting cycle, to see if the improvements work. As I see it, many people will change teams after year one, or worse leave because the teams "Sim" gave us are not very well constructed, and our early scouting without information tapped us out before we knew how to scout. Please let us know before the "first" recruiting phase even begins HOW the new system will handle player cuts?

I have two guys I need to cut, because this STUPID Sim Coach signed no guards, and five bigs guys with no talent. Test or not, I want to see if when I recruit in the next HD version, I will understand how I can build a team. Right at this moment, as I have been able to understand, in second recruiting phase (after player cuts and EE's leave). If you have no scouting cash, you are SOL! If that is the case, please strongly consider giving us all a little scouting cash bump this year only. My plan is to test this same team, so I can make a decision on whether I will continue to SPEND money on my HD hobby. Thank you....I will now get off my "soap box" and get back in my "walker".

Any word on adding the capability to filter recruits by player preferences?

I do all of my playing on an iPhone 6, it is really hard to navigate the beta world, going back to the old system would be better.

I'm giving this post a big Coachward style +1

Coaching from Fisk(d3) in TN. Here's where I'm at so far. It's expensive!
(1) I used the scouting service and scouted my home state for div 3 & 2. The two divisions yielded 15 & 21 recruits for a total of 36.
(2) I then scouted 2 random guys to level 4 but forgot to make notes of their letter grades to see what kind of range the letters were in relation to #'s so I did 2 more recruits for a total of 4
  • After I did items 1 & 2 I realized in order to get to the potential that the current FSS system that we have now my budget would only allow me to scout 30-35 local players with the 3 d3 scholarships I have available.
(3) I purchased the buckeye camp & hosted a camp
  • I really like this camp idea and the fact that I may see someone nobody else does and vice versa, what I don't like is the fact that now after item 3 my remaining budget is very low and I'm not going to be able to scout many of them very thoroughly. I don't like the thoughts of gambling on players based on a letter so I guess I better get lucky. Also, I invited 50 to the camp I hosted and many of them are out of my range...I would say 15-20 of them are realistically in my range, now if in fact all players are recruitable and some of these d1 guys that showed up fall through the cracks as other have mentioned then maybe my perspective changes but for now I think that % for a d3 school is way off.
Seble, I know it's early but if I were to suggest anything at this time it would be to look at the d3 budgets to see if they can be increased. If not another idea might be to change the level of scouting you get from a host camp. I think me and my assistants should be able to project a recruits potential if they stay at my house for a week going through drills & pick up games. Having to continue to absorb my budget on scouting of these players after camp to get their potential kinda sucks. A host camp that generates a level 4 would lessen the burden of the d3 budgets.

I like the idea of the new color codes on potential but the old system of red, black, & blue were perfect. I'm of those that think you can't predict a players potential all the time....in real life players exceed and fall short of expectations all the time.

A way to mark/indicate that you no longer want to scout a player would be nice. I feel like I have so many guys especially at Level 1 and 2 to have to sort through and click on to check all their letter grades each time...it would be nice if you could somehow mark it so you knew you already looked at this guy and he is definitely not worth your time anymore.

I suggest giving camps a small amount of recruiting value.

I also think it would be interesting/more realistic to let you invite at least some of the players coming to your camp.

Now that attention points have replaced lower-level recruiting actions, hitting the first cycle seems even more important than ever. Can we please, please, please preload attention points for the first cycle.

Also, it would be great if we could see recruiting actions and prices (grayed-out, so we know that we can't use them, but seeable) during scouting.

+1 on both of these points. I don't think recruiting is going to be any more leisurely under the new system.

I agree to this 1000 percent!

Is it supposed to take 24 hours for your camp to run? I scheduled a camp after the 11p cycle last night. My understanding was that it would run in the next cycle (though maybe I misread a prompt). Instead it appears that the camp will run tonight at the 2a cycle, about 24 hours after I initially schedule it to run.
