thanks.
just looked at the brackets here in D-III. remaining teams are:
3 1-seeds
4 2-seeds
4 3-seeds
2 4-seeds
1 8-seed
1 12-seed
1 13-seed
Looks like the tourney committee did a pretty great job with the seedings.

GG wronoj. You had me worried as does the Brandeis team coached by the legendary L_.

I am pretty disappointed. I feel as though I have done everything I can possibly do to move my team past the Sweet 16 and just can't get them over the hump. Since coming to WCTSt, I have am***ed a 293-100 record (getting my 100th loss last night) and gotten past the S16 just once.
Maybe it is time to jump to D1 - something to think about as I watch the rest of the tourney.

bugs, i am in the same boat as far as postseason success goes (never been past the sweet 16 here), but enjoy D-III so much i will not be leaving hartwick until i am ready to quit entirely.
camrun, thanks and GG. tough to win when you foul a lot and create no TOs. i really wish the engine would pull guys after 2 first half fouls. same thing that happened to Flanigan in this game happened to me in my D-I elite 8 game the other day. 2 quick fouls, no hook, 3rd foul in the first 5 minutes or less. kinda puts a damper on things.

Its funny you say that..I've actually wished the opposite many times. I had a star PG a few seasons ago that kept drawing 2 quick fouls (and sitting the next 10+ minutes) and then none for the rest of the game. And this was when stamina >90 meant you could play close to 40 min/game..so it ****ed me off to no end to have him miss 1/4 of the game because he fouled the C under the basket twice. I wish we somehow had more control over that situation..maybe a "bench in foul trouble" setting for each player?

Fouls were my undoing last night too actually. The NPOY only played 19 min with foul trouble..and I think we had 34 team fouls! Not gonna win many games that way..

wronjo, I am with you on the fouls. If you can select to play a player "only if foul trouble" using fatigue gameplanning then why not a "pull after two fouls in first half option"?

I agree. I have more fun in a competitive Wooden D3 conference where all the owners have some history playing each other than any other world/conference I'm in.

congrats to camrun for another strong run into the final 4.
Feel like foul troubles did Chicago in as well. We picked up some early fouls, and it seems like the team didn't play very aggressive after that. Tough team I was matched up against though, so they definently had a say in why my guys fouled so much. Perhaps I should have gone slow down. I thought this might be my year w/ 2 5th year seniors, but to no avail. Oh well on to next year.
I ***ume the sweet 16 exit evaporates my chances of climbing into the top 3 of the prestige rankings, if I had any chance at all. Next year, we're getting there, I swear (or perhaps the following )
g/l to everyone else the rest of the way, see ya on the recruiting trail, Chicago has some horses to replace.

I like how the Final 4 has #1 vs #3 and #2 vs #4..maybe the rankings aren't as screwed up as some would argue? Ok they probably are, but they got it right this time anyway..

Who do you guys think cuts down the nets? I might be biased since they beat me twice, but I like Baldwin-Wallace's chances.

Heartland had 3 teams qualify for the postseason and two are still playing, with anderson in the final four and manchester in the PI finals.

You guys rock.

I wish all the teams the best. All four teams look very impressive, but I have to cheer on my MIAA rival...Kalamazoo.
10/29/2007 7:17 PM
I would like to congratulate Camrun on his win last night against my team-Kalamazoo. The NT championship game should be a good one with two teams that have a lot of NT experience. Good luck to both of you!

I just hope this one is closer than the last time I played E. Oregon. He knocked me out in the Elite 8 last year with pretty much the same team he has this season. Who knows' maybe I will get one of those Sim engine randomness results and find a way to win. Anyway congrats to everyone who got in and advanced in the NT.

Good Luck tonight camrun.
10/30/2007 6:53 PM
Congrats to barjaz and the E. Oregon squad. A very nice run this season. Happy to have kept it close with a chance at the end. Still trying to figure out why my PF decided to chuck his first 3 with 15 seconds . Oh well, they are college kids right? Good luck to all in recruiting and if you see them considering Anderson please move on.
