we have to remember it is possible to sign players with $0 spent now. I have already signed a guy this cycle with no money for him and he is actually a pretty decent player.

When taking over a new team you start at beginning of phase two. It would be "nice" that any player that was signed by Simmy send you an email that he wants to meet with you to decide his status, and be willing to allow you to remove his scholarship!

This is a result of testing the "job change" process and I know why they hired me! The two guys he signed phase one are not worth a human recruiting! I have seen a few walkons that had more potential (tapped out across the board).

Along with that ^^^^^^ it would be nice to have an option to have recruits you recruited during phase 1.....join coach at new school

It would also be cool to have extra recruits added to recruiting phase 2........ this will help with EE's complaints and probably keep some coaches from leaving. Having more talent in game is still a big issue.... . This will solve the issue and add more strategy to game also

I had a similar thought. Some late bloomers/prep school kids could be added to the pool. Not sure how feasible that is.

Seble, if this has been mentioned I do apologize, I was too lazy to read all 22 pages.

It would be nice to tell a recruit you are or can change your Play Style. If you were a 3 pt. shooting team the previous year but your shooters have graduated or EE (I never have that problem), you might change your style from Perimeter to Paint.

Perhaps the unlock feature could be more vague. Or, if there was a certain maximum number that we all knew would unlock any player. That way, at least you would know that once you hit that number, as a maximum, you would unlock them. It could be a rather large number, so there was still some mystery involved in it. At least this way, you would not feel hopeless, wondering if you were ever going to unlock a recruit.

It could be a higher maximum number for lower divisions to unlock a higher division recruit. For example to unlock a D1 recruit, the most AP points required could be 300 for D1, 400 for D2, and 500 for D3.

I am just pulling these numbers out of thin air, but thinking of a concept that would make it less "spoonfed" information, and would also help with the issue of D3 schools signing D1 players.

Allow for the purchase of additional 20 attention points. Can either use Scouting cash or recruiting cash. The catch must be a HIGH cost for them, and it needs to be ONLY 20 points.

This is good! Perhaps a check box telling a recruit that you will promise to change. Could also make it another way of breaking promises.

need recruiting filters along the lines of the existing game - for players who are known to a given school....need to calibrate in letters plus numbers to take into account differential info.

reducing the convenience of users isnt a great business plan.

I've been compiling a list of some smaller changes to the game I'd like to see (I know some of these have been mentioned before). I'll be continuing to update as I think of more things but here it is for now:

1. Drag and Drop ability on Targets Page

2. Exclude walk-on ratings from team total rating and average ratings (I hate that these are included in the current game)

3. Be able to compare recruits from your target list (this is an obvious need)

4. Be able to change AP’s easier, similar to practice plan (again, obvious need)

5. Reminder email to schedule non-conference games if you haven’t filled all spots. I sometimes forget, it would be nice if you got something from your assistant with a couple games left in the regular season.

6. On the recruiting page under roster I wish it would only show the players on your team that are projected to return for next season (I don't care about guys who will be gone; allows me to easily see what type of team I am returning and what kind of recruits I need to target)

7. If you offer an ineligible player start/minutes it should carryover to their first eligible season. This should also weigh in their decision to come to your school rather than go JUCO (I never understood why in the current game you can offer this and it doesn't matter when the recruit is finally eligible)

+1 on all except #7

I think if coach Calipari told a recruit you can come and start at Kentucky next year if you can get your grades up, and then he doesn't, coach Cal shouldn't have to start him over the incumbant the next season (i mean, he had to replace him and start SOMEBODY). I think that conversation should/could hold some weight with the kid, but he didn't hold up his end either by not get his SAT scores up thus the coach and team having consequences). That said, I see great value in 1-6 and would vote for all of them in a survey. #2 although understandable wouldn't be a deal breaker though.

As far as other changes,
There are some cool concepts added (props seble) which people have shown to like, but there may be too many. I guess the cool thing to remember is that this is still the beta and its here for us to mek changes/suggestions etc.
First simplifying recruiting would be really helpful to vets, casual players, and new players alike.
1) I'm not sure who level one is useful for, and with the durability factored in it becomes less "useful". Again it takes time to look at a bunch of level ones and a bunch of level twos then a bunch of level 3s then a bunch of level 4s before deciding whos worth the battles that you've likely gotten yourself in during the process (regardless of level). Not a lack of dedication or effort, or even an account of my level of skill when the assistant search is so random and it may take a while to even uncover (to level two) a player that fits my style of play. Again I think the concept was cool, but too many levels to get to "ok this is one of the 2-5 (or whatever) I'm going to target with my limited AP, or worse the preferences fit but the skills dont and vice versa...Oh well, back to assistant search". Fixes: less levels, more standardized info in levels(for newbies, and "casual"/limited availability users like: military, family guys, odd shift workers, people OUTCONUS, but love the opportunity to play the game to feel like we can be competitive), and more specifics for your assistant(s) to be able to search for. (IRL if not assistant came back with info on 25 possible recruits and only had level 1 info he'd be fired...granted level 4 info would get him a raise...lol)
2)The letter grades could be changed to just number ranges or more directly related to number ranges. This was said before in a post, but it made enough sense to repeat. If A was a standardized 100 to 85, then B could be from 84 to 70 , C could be 69-55, D 54-40, E 39-25 and F 25 < (or something like that).... With the + or - grade in level 3 being more directly linked to the high 5 or low 5 of that range. This could be simplified even more for the newby or casual player by just starting with # ranges and then colors, (the letters aren't awful, but for someone who plays +80pct from my phone simplifying the scouting/recruiting process would make the game way more relatable and enjoyable). Using a seperate chart/formula for possible ranges and heaven forbid different ranges/weights per different positions would be a nightmare.

I think that players that have no money spent on them (only AP points) should wait until the second period to sign.

RE: "?Revamped the recruit home page, which includes merging the Targets page into and attempting to de-clutter. Also added the ability to do multiple scouting trips at once from the targets list on recruiting home." -- (Change log, Season 3)

We're moving in the right direction, and I want to go on record applauding that, but I don't think this is the best screen to have this on.

In order to get someone on the Target screen, I need to assign a color code. Most people won't assign a color code unless/until they have some information, which means in most cases they'll be operating from their recruit pool screen where the ratings are actually visible. The option to mass level needs to appear on the recruit pool page where it's in close conjunction with the information that would drive coaches to decide which players they want to level up.

Great idea. Bad location IMO.

It's super annoying to have to buy states one by one on FSS Scouting now. I really want to b e able to just choose multiple states and buy all like you can on the current version of HD.
7/5/2016 12:19 PM
AND by dividing each action with FSS into just one state, I cant buy say 10 states, click on that action in scouting history and look at the pool of recruits identified with that 10 state purchase - which would help one manage efficiently the data

(just mentioning subliminally - the beta has a host of bad interactions with Safari and lack of filters is a fatal flaw)

The recruit's distance from campus should be listed on the Recruiting Home/Summary page.
