Hopefully this hasn't been mentioned before or common in other sports dynasty games (sorry I've only played hockey!)...One option that might be interesting is having either a draft to begin the dynasty or start with teams as they were in real life some set season. So the league creator would pick the year, people joining the league would pick their teams (or even make it random! yikes! how about this crazy idea! you wouldn't know what you're getting!) and off you'd go trying to turn your franchise into a great dynasty. People should be forced to sign up for at least a few seasons (maybe 6?) so that if you make bad decisions, you don't leave us with a bad team and no one willing to take it over!Of course Stanley Cup winners should be rewarded accordingly but also owners with teams making the playoffs should get a little something too... Teams not making the playoffs should lose money so that their next year they might have a few million $$ less to spend on salaries, etc. That way teams would try to make the playoffs every year. To earn some extra home games revenues.It might be nice to have coaches, with different sets of skills. ***istant coaches would impact training while the head coach would impact games more.Anyway that's it for now. Hopefully we get a dynasty game before I'm too old to sit at my computer...

That's not how the Dynasty games work. It's all fictional players, and you control an entire franchise at several levels. You decide how much you spend on salary, training, coaches, etc.

If there is a Hockey dynasty, there should also be the affiliation agreements/difficulties of the real hockey. The second tier down where you have to negotiate how many players an unaffiliated club will let you pay for etc....

If there is 29 AHL and 30 NHL, who shares a franchise? ;-)

In the baseball Dynasty, you pick a city, and not all the cities are ones that have a current franchise. All of your ML teams are listed as being in the same city, just at different levels.

If you want to add things like negotiating for where to put your ML teams, you're going to add far too much complexity to it, and people will play 1 season, say "this is too much work", and give up. Plenty of people did that with baseball after Season 1.

Maybe they want to make sure it's a good product? Ya know, find out what ideas they have that people might not like about the game, before they implement them?

Woo Hoo! I just filled out my survey about Hockey Dynasty! I hope that means that it is under development (or at least they have plans to start development)Heck, we have had our own Hockey Dynasty leagues for a long while (I am currently in the 7th season of one of them). So they HAVE to know that there is a market out there for such a game. Believe me, if they create a Hockey Dynasty, I will be spending a LOT MORE money on this site! Of course, I may cut down my GD budget, but I would spend a hell of a lot more on Hockey Dynasty than I ever have on GD.The ONE suggestion that I included in the survey is that they have to use REAL teams, and not ficticious teams like in Hardball Dyansty. If they can't figure out a way to get NHL teams in there, there are plenty of Minor League and College teams out there to do it. I can't wait to take the San Jose Sharks to the Stanley Cup (or at least the Hershey Bears to the Calder Cup)!
