man, their seeding/bracketology program needs some work. Taz got effed badly by the seeding, and i got a sweet-16 rematch with NCWC as well as my conference mate Utica in the same bracket. We only got 3 teams in, so why on earth would they put a 3 & 4 seed from the same conference in the same region? makes no sense.
happened to me on my other ID in the D2 PIT, too, this season. there we only got 2(!) teams in, and we are in the same region.

I thought we'd be a 2 or a 3, right on the line there. Oh well, only 1 thing to do, kick *** and take names. Final 4 or bust.
Chicago's 8 losses have been to RPI#: 1, 3, 5, 23, 32, 34, 54 & 62. We've also managed to knock off RPI #: 1, 3, 10, 12, 23, 25, 62 & 69
Which means when facing the top 70 I'm .500 and just as capable of winning the next 6 or losing the next 1. Good luck to all in the NT, well except for those that play me or anyone else from the upstate.

well I got lucky and got a #2 seed but ended up in a tough conference having WSC and Brandeis both in it. if It will be a good test of my Hood Blazers

just realized Anderson did not make it either - the #1 and #2 current Dynasty Rankings team miss the big dance!!

did you earlier say that you take into account the PI (at a lower level) wronoj? or just NT or bust?

either way - i know i will be dropping and we'll be seeing a nice shakeup at the top...

good luck you bastards!

One of the strangest games I've seen in the CT championship, and definately not in my favor. The other team's sg went 15-16 from the field, 5-5 from three-point range for 38 points, they attempted 53 fts to my 20, and shot 59% from the field as a team. I needed that win to get into the NT; It's PIT for me this season. GL in the postseason everyone.

Share a seed line with both Anderson and St. Olaf in the PIT. Now that's some elite company. Of course, I draw a possible 2nd round matchup with Worcester St. if I can get past one of the Upstate's 800 great teams (HWS).
Wronoj: That sort of thing happened over in D3 Naismith this season. The top two teams from my conference, who also happened to be the top two teams in the RPI (and ranked #1 and I think #15 at the time), were seeded 1 and 2 in the same region. So instead of meeting in the Final Four or title game, they ended up facing each other in the Elite 8. WIS has shown some real problems in the way brackets have been set up lately.

Sweet, 29 percent shooting.

been a long time since i was in the PI at any level and i must say the talent of the teams is way better than i recalled it being...i'll be lucky to win one more...

well hood squeked in the first round and now draw Sol Ross St. which should be a good game.
on a side note I can not believe Hartwick lost in the 1st round, they where the only team this season that really beat me good. I expectd to see them in the final 4.
to all the teams in the NT and PI good luck

bitterness.

Yea it was a strange 1st round in the NT..Hartwick was the only higher seed to lose (which shocked me btw) in the West, but only the 1 and 2 seeds survived in the South. Talk about a region blowing up..I've never seen that many double digit seeds out of the 1st round.

I'm not loving my matchup against 7 seed John Jay. They have one of the better presses in D3, right up there with Brandeis for the best I've faced this season. Our press isn't bad either, though, and we are among the D3 leaders in TO margin..so maybe we can limit the mistakes. Its almost like we're both getting a taste of our own medicine in this one. Its tempting to just be reckless and run uptempo into the press, but that's asking for a 25 TO game. Winning the TO battle will probably win this game for one of us.

the end of a bad season in the 2nd of the PI for Arcadia...just never came close to gelling...

william dement - one of the best guards in DIII in both ratings and IQ (who generally underperformed for his career)...ends his career with a 0 ***ist and 9 TO game against a full court press...the guy guarding him was a 54 SPE and 9 DEF...while dement was A+ and 75+ in SPE, ATH, BH, P***, and PER...

i get those games do happen but i am done trying to build up players into elite guards - it's been 5 seasons since i have been noticing a serious disconnect between what should be great guards and how they end up performing...

all of the best guards i have had are now at least 5 seasons older or more - yet i have recruited and played guards with at least as strong ratings (or better)...i don't get it...

overall i thought i would lose last night but that result is kind of sad - especially with the 3 guard offense and BH/P*** i had...

good luck to the rest of you still kicking!

W CT St is still alive and cooking. We took out a solid team last night and draw Hood tonight. Should be an interesting game. of course, the winner of this game has to be favored to make it to the Final Four, since Brandeis bowed out last night.
3/26/2008 6:14 AM
you played my brother last night - great game...could have gone either way...congrats!
3/26/2008 6:31 AM
GL bugs, I hope i'm able to give you a good game and not get blown out of the gym
