Does RL mean real life or Rookie League?

Real life, this isn't baseball.

It seems as if you're one of the top 4 or 5 teams in the preseason poll, it's pretty much impossible for you to fall out. You have to really struggle just to fall out of the top 10.

On the flip side, my team is sitting at 5-1 with the one loss being a game that we coughed up late against a Hood team that was ranked at the time we played. Got wins over two more ranked teams while not playing the easiest of schedules and am just now getting a little love from the polls (#40). The rankings suck.

bcnopolis if my schedule wasnt full I'd play you, I've really enjoyed playing against you these last 3 or 4 seasons, cant wait till tomorrow night went we match up again

Help me with this... I am ranked #24, lose badly to #2 Arcadia, then beat #1 Chicago. They flip places, I drop out to ORV at ~#30. Fine. Next two games: I beat a bad team, then I beat #22 Neumann, who promptly moves up to #18. I fall OUT of the ORV. Meanwhile, my RPI has moved up from #55 to #26. anyone?

Nothing to see here, rankings are just fine the way they are. It would be worthy of a ticket, I'm "sure" they could justify it promptly.

I let the sim schedule games for me(didn't renew til last day) and I have an SOS of 42? I call BS...

im #2 in the rpi and have been for a few days but it took me forever to get up in the polls...they pretty much suck

Yea the polls are real iffy. Thankfully they make no difference to getting into the tourney.

I am in real danger of missing the NT for the first time in ages... my division in my conference is so bad, that even if I sweep those 10 games my RPI is likely to get worse. Means I need to beat the 4 decent teams on the other side, and I already lost to one of them. Gonna be close this year. (and next year is supposed to be my down year).

Not sure, wronoj. The Big 5 tournament is the SOS gift that keeps on giving... your SOS (and thus RPI) may not take as big a hit as you think.

well, lost to lucius last night, so now I feel like I need to win out the last 10 games. RPI 40, only 2 sub-100 teams on the schedule. (and you are one of them)...
