polo, no problem-- i enjoy doing it, and it probably kept me with this team the last couple of seasons when we were playing crappy. taz, i was a bit surprised to see you at #1, only because someone in the UCAC thread picked you to finish 4th in your division... good luck with that. is your rebounding going to be enough to hold up through there?if the rankings are right, i am in real trouble this season-- i have 6 of the top 17 in my OOC schedule, and at least 2 more receiving votes. then, i got a Hood team that was good, but baloochow and a ghost ship took over, so that win will kill me, too. sweet.

That is the exact question I've got. No doubt we'll be lead from the perimeter. I found last year, when I thought my rebounding was poor, after looking around it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. I guess mainly due to the continual watering down of recruits. This season, we're a little worse w/ the starting post players, but a little stronger off the bench. Additionally, our Gaurds are pretty solid (both 20+), which based upon some recent info from admin, may help more than I thought 2 months ago. We'll see how it goes, we'll certainly be tested.FWIW, I agree w/ polo that Case is the favorite in our division, but I think I can make a run at something better than 4th. Although in that grouping, there really is no shame no matter where any of us in that division finish, we all have teams capable of running to the sweet 16. Unfortunatly, somebody will have to lose.

first preseason game showed that the +2 is probably a bad idea unless the other team is really bad on the boards. Tomorrow we'll see how we handle uptempo. W/ our poor stamina down low, I don't think we'll do so well there either, but it would be nice to test drive it before the games actually count.

Nice one last night, taz21. Knew that would be a battle..

thanks chief, its been a good series. Got the defending champs on our homecourt tonight. Like us, they suffer a bit in the rebounding department, but cover up for it in other areas. Should be a good one.

Chicago is now 0-5 vs UNCW. I really thought this was our year to break thru vs them. Perhaps in the NT.

I just wanted to say I'm sorry to all the teams I scheduled for this season against Hood, I can't believe how quick a new coach can kill a team. worst part is he's trying to change the offense to FB and the team isn't built for it plus IQs are all D- for the FB.

yeah, i wasn't planning on an 0-4 opponent in the middle of the schedule... luckily, the Big 5 tourney will be the RPI booster that never stops giving.

looking back i have a half court 3 pter to lose to Hartwick, up 1 to bugs with 24 seconds and lose, and a near comeback win loss by 3 on the road to Salem St...i don't think i'll be able to overcome those losses and make the NT...just don't have many good wins at all and could have used at least 2 of those...

this team is young so i am excited about the next few seasons but this will be my 2nd recent miss of the NT...Arcadia traded a runners up title run accomplished with a bigger cl*** knowing we'd have ayoung team and some lumps so i can't complain

I'd kill for your season right now

Fred Gordon became the all-time leading scorer today at Western CT St. That is pretty big considering the previous all-time scorer was the first recruit I ever signed - almost 20 seasons ago.

congrats bugs-- i don't think the Hartwick record will be broken until after I leave, or if my downward spiral gets much much worse... The teams are always just too balanced, and we so rarely see a 4-year starter, much less one who would be given offense all 4 years, which is what it would take. Our current leader was a SIM recruit that I RSed as a soph in my first year, Raymond Brooks.

the current leader at St. Olaf only started half his career games(62/123) and avg'd 11.6 ppg...but he played from 24-27 when I ran uptempo virtually the whole time so that helped...

I'm excited to see I'll have Manchester back on the dynasty list after this season. I still have no clue where that losing season came from a few seasons ago. That completely blindsided me... what a horrible coaching job! Now if only I could stop choking in the postseason?!?!?
