I say W Conn St jumps out to an early lead, and we never recover, falling by double digits.
Here's to being wrong :)
I would love nothing more than to jump out early and stay ahead. I do think my boys are underranked, but at the same time, I do not think my guys have ever gotten the respect they deserve (due to all of those early exits in the NT). Of course, Chicago and WCTSt have split the last 8 decisions. I think it will be much closer with someone winning in OT. I hope my guys can pull it out. GL taz.
holy fukbalz. you psychic?or maybe you work for WIS and programed the win....

Could have gone either way. Both of our stud G's didn't play as well as either of us thought.
Great game taz - I am sure we will meet again.

congrats. Apparently WIS doesn't think much of your team, dropped us from 8th to 30+ in the rankings. FUBAR. We'll see about another matchup, I'm not sure what to make of this team yet. I think we have the kids in place to win a game or 2 in the NT, or then again, perhaps we have enough holes to be heading towards the PI. Good luck this year, I'm sure the committee will look at that as a quality loss by season's end.

I feel the same way, Becker went from #3 to not recieving any votes.

i went (Arcadia) from losing to Hartwick (now #11 i think) to no votes after winning my other game...i don't really care that much but all the way to no votes? sheesh!

good luck tonight Bugs! hoping i can piece together a win somehow - you look too strong though!!

The rankings are really screwed up, there is a team in D-2 Naismith that started the season 1-3, won 4 in a row and is now 5-3 and ranked #1 in the country over two 8-0 teams. Since joining HD at the end of 2004, this is probably by far the worst I've seen with the ranking system.

i couldn't agree more - they are "fixing" fixing them and yet they are the worst they have ever been i think...

I didn't even check until now, but one of those 8-0 teams was your Le Moyne team that defeated Anderson. Very odd.

i agree they are totally flawed... but if you look closer, the teams are really closely rated. from #10 to #40 is separated by like 22 "votes" total. weird. I think they are trying to do the right thing by making them more fluid, but have overshot it a bit here. They'll get it fixed eventually. keep sending tickets in for weirdness you find.
but most importantly, i should be ranked and jj shouldn't, until further notice. glad to see they got that right...

I would suggest having the coaches pick the Top 25, but game planning is already time consuming enough, not to mention you would have to vote every 2 days.

Only rule is that you wouldn't be able to vote for a team in your own conference. On the other hand, if that was the case then most people wouldn't even be that interested, since the rankings have no effect with regards to seedings and RPI.

It should be a very simple system, which isn't too complex. W-L record, margin of victory with some consideration to SOS. This really shouldn't be rocket science.

The fact that I started 0-2 and moved from #13 to #12 doesn't seem right at all..that really shouldn't ever happen.

wronoj we will meet in the NT this season - it's long overdue! paybacks!!

yes alex - i think that Anderson example is a great one...someone ticketed that and they said they are still working on it...we'll see...

what they're trying to fix is the old problem where if you were ranked #1 pre-season, you had to lose 5 or 6 games close together in your schedule to drop out of the rankings. and if you were not ranked or receiving votes pre-season, you had to win 20 in a row to be #24. and then your first loss would knock you out. Then we all compound the problem when all the good teams just play each other in the noncon schedule, and the rankings system has no idea what to do with jj's team or taz' team, who is highly rated but has already lost. i think they'll get it eventually. jj, i have no desire to play you in the NT. but i will ***ert my PAC domination tonight when I beat Marywood...

i got ennam, but now have taz and bugs on back-to-back nights. not liking my chances too much in either of these games. My FT shooting is so bad it has to catch up to me eventually.
