I have a question. You say that you can choose a good school, but you will have to face good competition. Won't you face competition in games/recruiting everywhere?

What he said was a good school has better recruiting vision -- can see better players. But, a new coach at a good school would see competition from other good schools for the better recruits and quite possibly be at a disadvanage due to lack of carryover/playoff money. Truthfully, this could apply to all new coaches. However, schools with poor vision tend to see players not worth battling over so the likelihood of competition for recruits is less.

That is a very nice job buckicoyote. I will reference it a lot. I have 3 teams and I know the problems I'll see as a new coach at 2 schools, and your material will make my job a lot easier. Just wish I could have found it sooner. GREAT JOB!!!!

Thank you buckicoyote! I used it for my recruiting and picked up some good recruits. Looking forward to using it more as my OOC begins next week.

how do you go about signing the players that are considering your team?
11/8/2008 8:51 AM
If you have a scholarship offered and face to face time (HC/AC Scout or Home Visit), they will sign if they are green once signing day arrives. It would be at 2:30 PM ET cycle on signing day - usually the cycle is delayed to 3:00 - 3:30 ET

QFE, can't thank you enough. My cousin is still in the service. Was a Green Beret in the 101st Airborne unit. I think he is in Special Ops now. I can't wait for the day when he can/decides to retire. Wish you the best in your future Jay.
