I think kreller nailed it...the recent change to show historic prestige probably changed the logic to calculate prestige a bit and so it got a new value...you were probably a low A- and are now a high B+ if I had to guess...

Mine did the same thing. A+ to A then A-. And we made the NT. I guess career has no impact. It is all what have you done lately. I am just thinking that if you make the dance then the prestige drop, if you even deserve one, should be very slow. It's not like you didn't get in at all. Weird logic.

20 straight 20+ wins 3 NT and 20 straight NT appearances. Yes that makes sense your school no longer carries the same prestige it once had.

yeah i think it's kind of sad they don't give some more weight to long running DIII prestige vs. the "what have you done for me lately" aspect...

but i understand their reasoning in that they don't want DIII dynasties to be too strong and you blow away anyone new trying to learn the game...

But isn't that why they call it Hoops Dynasty. Build a Dynasty. I have invested money in this how many newbies are returning clients? I think many are alias of other players. No big deal I will continue to play but it does raise the question how realistic is it or do they want it to be? If it were Duke and they missed the NT once would their program suffer? And in my case we made it to the NT. I just think there should also be an experience factor if the program has the same coach.

i don't disagree with you - i guess there point is that they need to make DIII a bit more of a level playing field (although it's really not that hard to build a dynasty)...and that prestige in DI is a lot more potent than at DIII...i honestly can see both sides of it...

I agree with what both of you guys are saying, but my feeling are very similar to what camrun has said above. Maybe I'm selfish, and I haven't been nearly as successful as camrun's Anderson team, but the 25 or so season's I've invested in this team and in reality the beta testing of the Sim Engine, seems to deserve more than what we are being given. I think the name of the game does need to be changed becuase over the last 3 years they've done nothing but make it more and more anti-Dynasty. I realize WIS doesn't want to scare off new coaches, but apparently they've never heard of the 80/20 rule in business.

Looks like I was actually right for once, and they found an issue with a double hit on the prestige. It should be corrected now, see if your prestige went up guys.
VICTORY!!! I only had to send about 10 support ticket updates arguing my point to get them to really investigate this. Good job to everyone who sent tickets about this screw-up.

Yeah, I'm sure others were complaining too, so I can't take all the credit. I'm glad it helped some of the coaches in this thread, since we all seem to be in a similar boat and many of us play each other every season.
I was either, not going to be denighed on my original complaint (prestige having 2 moves down in 1 season), or it was going to end my WIS hobby, with me quitting after this season. My prestige moving down to B+ bothered me a little, but not nearly as much as customer service continuing to say that I was wrong (which to me implied that I was basically either retarded or a liar, both of which are debateable) and that it only moved once. Glad I get to keep slamming my head against the wall with this trying to win a national title quest.

nfentre...customer service is notoriously clueless. If you are 99% sure you are right, ask to have the ticket raised to level 2 or sent directly to Admin.
